Weeping Buddha| Mystery 2024.

Past of Buddha

Weeping Buddha, Buddha wasn’t always called Buddha. His birth name was Siddhartha Gautama, and he was a prince from Lumbini, which is in Nepal today. When Buddha was born, his father, Shuddhodana, consulted a yogi to predict his future. The yogi prophesied that Buddha would either become a great king or a great saint.

Worried that Buddha might choose the life of a wandering saint and leave his kingdom, his father raised him in a luxurious palace, shielding him from suffering and old age. Buddha was kept ignorant of the world’s hardships.

One day, while riding through the city with his charioteer, Buddha saw an old man, a sick person, and a dead body. Shocked by these sights, he realized that aging, sickness, and death were inevitable parts of life. He also saw a monk, serene and content, and wondered if this was the true path to happiness.

Driven by these experiences, Buddha left his palace and family to seek enlightenment. He spent many years practicing meditation and austerity. Eventually, he attained enlightenment under a Bodhi tree and became known as the Buddha, the ‘Awakened One’.
